Z. Oral participates to the 81st International PEN Congress
Zeynep Oral, renowned Turkish writer and journalist will participate in the 81st International PEN Congress to be held in Quebec City.
About 250 delegates from 70 countries worldwide will participate to the 81st Congress of International PEN, which will take from October 13 to 16 in Quebec City.
On table there are issues such as translation, freedom of expression, creation and so on …
There will also be workshops of writing, storytelling or drama in which we can meet the recognized characters.
Among the guests were able to see the writers, journalists and filmmakers such as Dany Laferrière, Margaret Atwood, Joseph Boyden, Yann Martel, Robert Lepage, Jean-François Lépine, Russell Banks, Joséphine Bacon etc …
During its 81st Congress, International PEN will also elect the first time in history a woman president.
The candidates are Jennifer Clement from Mexico Vida Ogjdenovic of Serbia and Zeynep Oral from Turkey.
Zeynep Oral, writer and journalist recognized will be accompanied by Mr. Halil Ibrahim Özcan, the vice president of the Turkish PEN and Mrs. Tülin Dursun, the general secretary.
