Erkan Oğur and İsmail Hakkı Demircioğlu, two great musicians of Turkey bring the voices of Anatolia.
Both are carriers of civilization in Anatolia, Asia Minor, sing Yunus Emre, the mystic poet of the thirteenth century, Pir Sultan Abdal, the poet-fighter against the injustice of the sixteenth century, Karacoğlan of 17th century or Erzurumlu Emrah of 18th century …

In fact, Erkan Oğur and İsmail Hakkı Demircioğlu are two troubadours sing the people of Anatolia.
In two concerts, the first in Toronto on April 1st, and the second in Montreal on April 2nd, the public will have the chance to hear the voices and the unique music.

Who is Erkan Oğur?
Erkan Oğur was born on 17 April 1954, in Ankara, Turkey. A pioneer, he invented the first fretless classical guitar in 1976. A composer, he has influenced many musicians with his compositions combining the sounds of Turkish folk music and classical music with the ancient traditional music. He has played many concerts all over the world. He is regarded as a master of the kopuz and baglama (lutes).

İsmail Hakkı Demircioğlu
İsmail Hakkı Demircioğlu was born in 1957 Pazar (Rize) in the north of Turkey. After his primary and secondary education in Pazar, he began studying at the State Conservatory of Istanbul Technical University. Between 1984 and 1986 he worked in the Choir and Orchestra of Turkish Music of Ruhi Ayangil. In 1987 Demircioğlu worked in the Choir Ruhi Su Friends when Timur Selçuk and Sarper Özsan were chiefs. From 1998 Ismail Hakkı Demircioğlu has started working with Erkan Oğur.
